Marshmallow

Hay wrapped in plastic looks like marshmallows; big, fluffy, giant-sized confections. They rest in the field watching the sunset, fireflies and meteors. They feel the salty breeze and converse with cattle. They sit content.
Even though I consider myself a vegetarian, I still find marshmallows romantic. They are these goofy, saccharin puffs of pure and simple love. When toasted, the caramelized outer skin holds in a warm layer of sugary lava, an almost perfect treat.
There are rare times when a marshmallow can be elevated to perfection. I was lucky enough to experience that kind of sweetness last night. Marshmallows which are carefully roasted by a loved one, i.e. cute husband, which are presented on the stick uniform & perfectly tan is just too dreamy to describe with any sort of consideration to the rules of grammar.

Isn't it funny how they can make those big bales look like so many things?! This is the first time I've seen them as marshmallows!
